Ramu Annamalai is an MBA student interested in the intersection between technology and strategy, specifically new business models innovating the traditional banking industry. Prior to Ross, he spent 4 years at Deloitte Consulting in their Strategy & Operations practice where he focused primarily on banking operations for regional, national, and multinational banks. Through his experience advising clients on a variety of operational and strategic improvements, Ramu was exposed to the real implications of Fintech disruption to the industry - both as new competitors but also as potential partners. This past summer, he augmented his professional experience by interning at an educational software startup called Tenlegs as a Product Development Associate, giving him the experience to better understand product design/development from the perspective of a SAS provider. He is the kind of person that is continually seeking to challenge himself and expand his boundaries, which his primary reason for joining ZLCF.
Ramu has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia where he was born and raised. Some interesting facts of Ramu are that he was captain of his college ultimate frisbee team that made nationals for the first time in twenty years, has never had braces, and has watched every episode of Seinfeld at least three times.
