Mike Agius

Mike is a PhD candidate in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry. His research involves developing new methodologies for drugging the kinome, which has enabled novel strategies for targeting a number of cancer subtypes including TNBC and CML. Mike is enthusiastic about translating research from the lab to the market. He is currently a Tech Transfer Fellow with the UM Office of Technology Transfer (OTT), where he preforms early technology assessments for life-science technologies from the UM research community.

Mike holds bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Biomedical Sciences from Grand Valley State University. In his free time, he enjoys podcasts, powerlifting, and brunch.
