Hiroaki Kobayashi (a.k.a. Koby) is a first-year MBA student at the Ross School of Business who is focusing on Strategy and Healthcare. Prior to Ross, Koby worked as medical director at JOMDD, Inc, a medical device start-up in Tokyo Japan, leading a commercialization of an innovative cardiovascular device and incubating several other early-stage medical technologies. Prior to that, Koby worked as a physician in intensive care units and emergency rooms at University of Tokyo Hospital and affiliated hospitals. During college, he interned at a biotech and a patent office.
Koby attended University of Tokyo School of Medicine where he received his medical degree. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and eating Asian foods, watching soccer, and going scuba diving in islands, if time allows.
